“My works tell stories about the Finnish forest, about lakes, mossy mountains , and vast, open fields in an often magical, folklore-kind of way. Pine needles, pine cones, hay, moss, roots of plants or tree bark weave into stories in which the power of expression of the nature hides. They express various human feelings: yearning, closeness, vulnerability and affinity. I strongly feel that as a way of life, art is playful interaction that is beneficial to us human beings.”
